Weekly pool service in North Palm Beach
Canal-front homes, a mature tree canopy, and a village built largely in one era. North Palm pools are older than they look and generally well cared for.
Canals and canopy
Most of North Palm Beach went up in the fifties and sixties, and a great many homes back onto a canal. The tree canopy that grew in over the following seventy years is now the single biggest influence on the pools underneath it.
Heavy shade and constant leaf drop mean real chlorine demand and real skimming, and canal-side lots add wind-carried debris on top. The pools themselves are often original or resurfaced once, and they are usually in better condition than their age suggests because this is a village that maintains things. We would rather keep that going than find reasons to sell you work.

The dip on 14 July was a heavy-use week after the holiday. It recovered on its own by the next visit, so nothing was dosed.

Drifting up is normal on a plaster pool. Small acid doses on 21 and 28 July held it mid-band rather than chasing it from one end to the other.

Alkalinity is what keeps pH from swinging. Holding it near the middle of the band is why the pH line above stays flat.

Stabilizer is what stops the sun burning off your chlorine. It had drifted down to 49 through splash-out and rain, so 1 lb went in on this visit.
Service checklist
- Skimmed, brushed and vacuumed
- Skimmer and pump baskets emptied
- Filter pressure checked — 14 psi, normal
- 1 lb stabilizer, 2 tabs added
Note from your technician
“Stabilizer was running low so I brought it back up. Everything else looked good — nothing you need to do.”
What North Palm pools need
Canopy and leaf load
Seventy years of tree growth over a sixty-year-old pool is a chlorine-demand problem before it is a skimming problem. It has to be dosed against, not just netted.
Canal-side debris and wind
Backing onto water adds debris and moves chemistry around. Baskets fill faster than the pool size would suggest.
Older pools in good order
Most of these have been looked after. The job is to keep them that way, not to find reasons to replace things.
What it costs
North Palm pools are mid-range on price. Modest in size, but the tree canopy adds genuine chemical demand and genuine time on site.
Weekly plans start at $129 a month. On a heavily shaded canal lot the flat-rate chemical plan is usually the better value and we will show you why at the quote.
Prices shown are starting prices for a standard residential pool on a weekly route. Every account is subject to a price quote by a technician or at the point of sale - pool size, surface, equipment, screen enclosure and tree cover all move the number. We quote before we service, and the quote is the price.
Pool service in North Palm Beach
Our pool is under heavy tree cover. Does that change the price?
Usually a little. Constant leaf drop uses chlorine faster and adds time on site. On those pools the flat-rate chemical plan normally works out better than paying for chemicals as used.
We back onto a canal. Does that matter?
It adds wind-carried debris and moves the chemistry around more than an enclosed inland lot. Nothing unusual, just a reason to test rather than assume.
